Simply Supper Helps

Simply Supper Helps is a warm [and tasty] hug to the Edmonton community.

Simply Supper Helps was founded by a local Edmonton business, Simply Supper, which was simply interested in giving back to the community. It is run by a committee of volunteers, Simply Supper employees, and of course, the owner Monita Chapman.

Through the generosity of Monita and her family, along with numerous volunteers and supporting businesses, Simply Supper Helps has quickly grown into a recognizable Edmonton community outreach group that runs notable and unique events that have a positive community impact.

Simply Supper Helps May Meal Drive

When life takes an unexpected turn, the simplest of things can become daunting. It’s at those times in our lives when the comfort of home-cooked meal and the kindness of strangers can make all the difference.

Simply Supper’s owner, Monita Chapman’s life took one of those unexpected turns when her youngest child required the care of the Stollery Children’s Hospital shortly after she lost her Step-Father to cancer. She experienced just how hard a simple meal is to make for your family in the midst of life changing events.

That’s when the Simply Supper’s May Meal Drive was born. Every year Simply Supper puts out the call for nominations. It selects individuals or families who could use a helping hand and with an army of volunteers, Simply Supper delivers enough meals to fill their freezers.

Simply Supper’s Lemonade Stand Day

The Simply Supper’s Junior Lemon Squeezers in our community have hosted lemonade stands throughout the City of Edmonton for the past 6 years, raising over $700,000 for local charities.

With the creation of this program, our goal was to scatter lemonade stands all over the city in support of the Simply Supper Helps commitment to local charities. Signs were created, tables were decorated and our little, but strong, entrepreneurs put on a fierce sales and marketing campaign: grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbours received kid-inspired telemarketing calls, tweets, Facebook posts, flyers and other grassroots outreach.

We are proud of our Junior Lemon Squeezers:
