THAW EVERYTHING BUT THE SHRIMP. Pull shrimp out of freezer 10 minutes before you’re ready to begin cooking. Run shrimp under cold water for 10-15 minutes or until thawed. Add ½ cup of water(1 cup for a 4-6 serving) to the zipper bag and shake to mix. Add contents of zipper bag to a stock pot along with an additional 5 ½ cups of water (11 cups for a 4-6 serving). Bring to a boil. Once you’ve reached a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. If you’d like to remove the tails from shrimp, you can do so at this time. Add shrimp and boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and place on a plate to cool. Add noodles to the pot and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes until noodles are cooked (if using gluten free noodles, we suggest precooking in a separate pot of water for 6-7 minutes before adding to soup). Once noodles are cooked, turn off the heat and add the shrimp back to your pot. Serve hot and enjoy! INSTANT POT INSTRUCTIONS: Thaw shrimp by running under cold water for 15 minutes. You can remove the tails while the IP is coming to pressure. Prepare noodles separately on the stovetop until al dente and then drain and rinse with cold water. Add ½ cup water to the soup base bag for a 2-3 serving (1 cup for a 4-6 serving) and massage to get all the seasonings off the sides of the bag. Add this bag and the additional recommended amount of water on the packaging bag to the IP. Cook on High Pressure Soup for 4 minutes and QR. You can remove the tails from shrimp at this time. Remove lid, switch to Sauté setting and stir shrimp into the soup. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turns pink, turn off the IP and stir noodles into the pot. Serve hot and enjoy!
