SLOWCOOKER
Thaw completely (We recommend thawing in the fridge for 1 day.) Add 1 Cup of water (2 cups for a 4-6) to the sauce bag and mix up well. Place contents of sauce bag in 3.5 litre slowcooker. (Cooking time will have to be adjusted down if you are using a different size of slowcooker.) Add the bag of barley to the slowcooker and stir well. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours. Barley should be soft. Serve with tortillas and top with provided cheese. We suggest adding additional traditional taco toppings (salsa, guacamole, lettuce and fresh tomatoes). Serve with a fresh salad and enjoy! INSTANT POT INSTRUCTIONS: Thaw meal for best results. Add 2 cups of water for a 2-3 serving (4 cups of water for a 4-6 serving) to the sauce bag and mix up well. Cook on High Pressure Manual setting for 25 minutes and natural release for 15 minutes. QR and remove lid and then stir the ingredients thoroughly. Barley should be soft. If mixture appears too soupy, set on Sauté and tighten up the sauce, stirring constantly. Serve with tortillas and top with provided cheese.
