Meal Details:
Thaw completely (we recommend thawing in the fridge for 2 days). 30 minutes prior to cooking, add the chicken to the marinade. Heat a large fry pan to medium/high heat. Coat the bottom of the pan with a little oil (about 1 tsp). Remove the chicken from the marinade and place in the hot pan to brown each side of the chicken for 2-4 minutes. (DO NOT THROW OUT MARINADE.) Prepare rice according to instructions. Reduce chicken heat to low and add marinade to the pan and simmer for 20 minutes, turning occasionally. (Sauce should coat the chicken.) Serve chicken on top of rice. Enjoy! INSTANT POT INSTRUCTIONS: Thaw meal for best results. Begin preparing rice as per instructions on rice bag. Place thawed or frozen meat in the Instant Pot (frozen will take longer to come to pressure and will take longer to cook), and the contents of the sauce bag and 2 Tbsp of hot water for a 2-3 serving (or ¼ cup for a 4-6) and cook on High Pressure Poultry setting for 20 minutes and QR. Once chicken is cooked, you can remove from Instant Pot and broil on a broiling pan for 3-5 minutes until slightly browned. If you want to thicken the sauce, add a cornstarch slurry of 1-2 Tbsp of cornstarch mixed with an equal amount of cold water and slowly stir into the sauce on the Sauté setting until thickened. Serve chicken with rice. Enjoy!
(STOVETOP) A traditional Filipino dish, this flavourful meal has boneless, skinless chicken thighs that are slow-cooked in a mixture of onions, soy sauce, sugar, garlic and vinegar. The onions absorb the savory sauce, and this meal is served on a bed of hot white rice. Dairy & egg free. GLUTEN FREE. IP friendly. We suggest serving with our Green Onion Cakes -$6.
